My U.S. Representative

Open comment to Alan Grayson. Hey Alan, to use a vernacular that you are familiar with...

WTF ?

I understand that you serve a useful purpose for your political party as a lightning rod attracting the majority share of criticism and attention, which provides cover for your peers. What I don't understand or appreciate is that you are MY U.S. Representative and you don't represent anything which I hold dear.

Your office sent my wife a copy of the U.S. Constitution, which is a nice gesture, but in today's economy, was that the most wise choice to spend tax payer money? Really? Your literature says that you carry a copy of the Constitution around with you in your pocket. Have you ever read it? How about Article I Section 8, "...To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions". So when can we expect the National Guard on the southern U.S. border to repel the illegal alien invasion? The number can be debated, but I think illegals numbering in the MILLIONS constitutes an invasion. I'm sure you would agree.

And Alan, if you disagree with former Vice President Cheney, why not put forth a reasoned argument for your position rather than opting for Internet slang? Oh that's right, you think all Republicans are "knuckle dragging neanderthals". You know of course that Mr. Cheney is correct and you have no defensible position. The President is providing aid and comfort to our enemy my bestowing constitutional rights to foreign combatants that claim no country of allegiance.

Mr. Grayson, you are an embarrassment to your district, your State, your party, and your Country. Please resign.

Hey Janet - Try Enforcing the Law

Sheriff Arpaio, good job!

The sheriff of Maricopa County Arizona, Joe Arpaio, is a true patriot and enforcer of the law. Unlike Janet Napolitano, head of the Department of Homeland Security, who has drafted a new agreement with local law enforcement that specifies, "... the priorities of DHS, one of which is to go after 'criminal aliens' — illegal immigrants who have committed a state crime." Therefore, since illegal immigration is a federal crime, the DHS is trying to limit Sheriff Arpaio's power to enforce immigration laws.

Janet, we should be using any and all means to enforce immigration laws and you should be held criminally liable for not doing more to uphold the laws of the United States. It does not matter if you agree or disagree with the law, you must follow it - it is not up to your interpretation of it. Until it is changed, it is illegal for non US citizens to enter our country without proper documentation - PERIOD!

There should be no debate. Build a double fence 12 feet high and patrol the area between with the National Guard - that's right, the National Guard guards the nation (hence the name). The flow of illegal aliens across our southern border is no less than an invasion.

The last time I check Article I Section 8 of the United States Constitution states in part, "To provide for calling fourth the Militia (read National Guard) to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions".

This being the case, I believe that the American people have good cause to hold the entire Congress in contempt as they all took oaths of office to uphold the laws of the United States and to protect it against invasion. Please someone explain to me how over 12 million illegal aliens does not constitute and invasion. And please spare me the "racial profiling" and the "you have no compassion for the poor" garbage. The United States is a sovereign nation and you need documentation to enter it.

Congress (that's the Senate and the House), do your job or get out of the way. There's serious work to be done.

Criminal Mayor Gavin Newsom

San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom should be in federal prison. Since when do we as a nation allow a mayor to thumb his nose at the federal government and immigration law and make his own rules that endanger the entire country? Even people in California are wondering what the heck is going on. Just read from the LA Times itself,
"I was unaware that the city had its own foreign policy and immigration laws that superseded federal law," San Bernardino County Supervisor Gary Ovitt said, referring to San Francisco. "No one should have to suffer from a poorly thought-out policy such as this."

I just simply do not understand why enforcement of our immigration law is such a difficult concept. We are a sovereign nation with rules that must be enforced or we cease to exist. Any Senator or Congressman that is not standing up and screaming for upholding the law is a traitor to our country and to the oath they voluntarily took to uphold the Constitution of the United States. It really is that simple. If anyone does not like the current law of the land there are mechanisms in place to modify or strike down those laws. However, until the law is changes, it is not up to individual interpretation or selective enforcement.

As Michele Malkin said, "We are not a boarding house for the world. We are a sovereign nation. It's time we started acting like one".

We need to start defending our nation from this invasion before there is nothing left to defend.

Latest Imprimis

A must read on Immigration from Edward J. Erler Professor of Political Science California State University, San Bernardino ...

Find the article here

In this article he talks about "Birthright Citizenship" and how it was actually explicitly denied by the founding fathers, and the institution of the 14th amendment, and by a supreme court ruling... yet we continue to allow it to be a draw to anyone who comes here illegally. A great article and worth your time.

Illegal Immigration Is No Problem: "We all look alike" - Geraldo Rivera

I was unfortunate enough to catch some of Geraldo on Fox & Friends a couple of days ago. As usual, Geraldo was pontificating on illegal immigration as if it is really not against the law but rather some kind of American hatred of Mexicans. Geraldo, you have to give us a break on this mis-characterization of a seriously dangerous issue. It is illegal immigration - not immigration.

If you didn't follow the Fox & Friends link, Geraldo's main boast was that he had questioned then Republican candidate Mitt Romney on his stance on "immigration". He said that Mitt was using "anti-immigration rhetoric" to which Mitt responded that he always made it clear that he as talking about illegal immigration. Geraldo warned him that since "we all look alike" the Spanish community was not going to vote for him, but would instead vote for McCain. "All look alike", give me a break. It's not about looks or being Mexican Geraldo. It's about someone walking or swimming a nuclear weapon across the southern border. And Geraldo, it's not rhetroic when it's true. Your romantizing of Mexican social and economic conditions to explain away the breaking of federal law and placing our country at risk is rhetoric.

Michelle Malkin has posted some very insightful information on McCain's illegal immigration position, which Geraldo seems to prefer. She also describers Geraldo very effectively as "the ethnocentric cable TV host who can’t string a sentence about immigration together without drowning in emotional demagoguery". Well done Michelle.

Anyone elected to be President of the United States will have to take an oath that swears them to, amoung other things, protect the Republic from invasion and to uphold the rule of law. Both of these charges are being completely ignored by all branches of our government (both parties) concerning illegal immigration. It's time we wake up and do something about this extreme threat to our culture, our freedom, and our country before it's too late - and I pray we are not already too late.

I'm a devoted Fox News viewer and I would prefer that they allow Geraldo to find alternative employment.

Where Did Our Border Fence Go?

If you have the stomach for it, I invite you all to read (or at least take a look at) the
This legislation is over 3,000 pages in length, but fear not, I'm sure that all of our respective elected Senators and House members read it thoroughly before they voted on it. Oh, and if you're wondering who did vote for it, please check out the Roll Call Votes for H.R. 2764.
This piece of legislation does considerable damage to the Secure Fence Act of 2006 which was enacted into law to build a two tier border fence along our southern border. The model for this fence is in place in southern California and has reduced local crime rates by 50%.
The new law reduces funding to the border fence while giving money for lawyers to represent illegal aliens. What? Am I living in the twilight zone? So I guess the game in Washington is if a law is passed that you don't like, you simply stall long enough to pass counteractive legislation to get your way. I thought I read somewhere that we were a nation of laws - huh, guess that was some other country.
It's time we held our representatives and our government accountable. They have sworn an oath to protect the United States and it's citizens from invasion - read the Constitution, it's in there.
Our country is flooding. We need to shut off the water before we start to bail or try to repair the plumbing. Build the fence, close the border, and then we can deal with the illegals that are still here. Everyone knows that it's the correct course of action - so what are we waiting on?

Just Keep Cleaning Up The Poop

A friend forwarded this to me. Kudos to the author.

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seeds. What a beauty of a bird feeder it is, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue.

Then came the poop. It was every-where: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table ... everywhere! Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And others birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like it used to be .... quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now let's see .....
Our government gives out free food, subsidised housing, free medical care, and free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen. Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor; your child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English. Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to "press one" to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than " Old Glory " are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder.

Freedom is not free. Americans need to stand up and preserve our culture. If we continue to allow our rights and freedoms to be extended to those who have no loyalty or desire to defend America, then soon there will be no American to defend.

Could 4 Years of Hillary Help Conservatives?

Recent polls regarding the Democrat Presidential candidates indicate that Hillary still has the best chance of winning the Democrat nomination for 2008. However, polls regarding Hillary's positives and negatives show some interesting trends as well. According to Ron Fournier from AP , Hillary's negatives will provide little coattail room for fellow Dem's and may drive more Republicans to the polls.

It chills me to think that Hillary may have a shot at being the next President, but if it takes four years of Hillary to wake up our country to the horrors of socialized medicine and open borders, then it might just be the medicine we need.

The World That Works -- The World That Doesn't Work

I'm not a hard core Newt supporter by any means, but he nails the "who's here illegally" problem pretty well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15D3ElV1Jzw

I work in the Information Technology field and I know it's not that hard to collect, validate, track, modify, and report on 300 million unique and individual records. And, provide access to those unique records to hundreds of users in different geographical locations. It's actually pretty simple technology. So, why is it we can't get a record of who is in America legally and who is in America illegally? It's because our government does not have the desire to - you'll have to ask them why. By the way, there are about 300 million Americans - anybody want to buy a database program?

Debate Illegal Immigration all you want, pass whatever laws you want, but while that debate is going on, do all of America a favor and build a wall on the border. Legislation already exists to protect our borders, build a wall, and secure our nation.

It's the law, we know what to do, so build the wall already.

We all agree - secure the border

Charles Krauthammer spells it out in plain English.

A border fence is effective, relatively cheap, and immediate. What are we waiting on? Congress should be ashamed of itself.
